Our Story
At Hallett Brewing, our journey is rooted in family, passion, and a love for craft beer. Founded by Andrew and Tanya Mueller, alongside their two sons, Miles and Ryder, our brewery is a testament to dreams realized through dedication and community support.
Our story began in British Columbia, where Tanya honed her skills working in breweries, and Andrew developed a deep appreciation for craft beer. Upon returning to Andrew's hometown of Fort Frances, Ontario, we noticed a gap in the local craft beer scene. This realization sparked a dream: to bring quality, locally brewed beer to our community.
What started with a Christmas gift—a homebrewing kit—quickly evolved into a shared passion. Andrew's first brew, an Irish Red Ale, ignited a journey of experimentation and learning. Over time, our kitchen transformed into a mini-brewery, with friends and family eagerly sampling each new creation.
In 2019, we took a leap of faith and purchased a building on Scott Street. With Andrew's background in roofing and Tanya's hospitality experience, we, along with Andrew's father, dedicated countless hours to renovating the space ourselves. Despite challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, our determination never wavered.
After years of hard work, Hallett Brewing opened its doors on July 1, 2023. Since then, we've become a cherished gathering spot in Fort Frances, offering a variety of craft beers brewed on-site. Our offerings include the Hoppy Blonde, Raspberry Kölsch, and seasonal favorites, all crafted with care and creativity.
Beyond beer, we're committed to fostering community connections. From hosting trivia nights to collaborating with local food vendors, our brewery is a space where memories are made. As a family-run business, we take pride in contributing to the vibrant tapestry of Fort Frances.

Raspberry Pineapple Wheat —4.7%
A light and refreshing wheat beer with bright raspberry notes and a tropical pineapple finish. Smooth, fruity, and easy-drinking.
Saison — 5.5%
A classic farmhouse-style ale with gentle spice, subtle fruit character, and a crisp, dry finish.
Northern IPA — 5.3%
A balanced IPA with hop-forward aromas, light citrus notes, and a smooth bitterness that finishes clean.
Swiss Lager — 5.0%
A crisp and refreshing lager with a clean malt profile, smooth body, and balanced finish.
English Blonde — 5.2%
A smooth blonde ale with light malt sweetness, gentle hop character, and an easy-drinking finish.
Red Ale — 4.9%
A rich amber-red ale with toasted malt notes, mild caramel character, and a smooth balanced finish.
